Google in association with Airtel India provides free internet access for Airtel subscribers!


Yes, It’s true and genuine… Google has started a new service called freezone which offers free internet access for Airtel subscribers in India. It’s also available for other countries but other providers.

Free Zone is a bundle offered by mobile operators in association with Google that allows you to use Google+, Gmail, and Google Search for free. It’s available on most internet-enabled mobile phones.

Supported Providers:

  • Philippines – Globe (As of November 2012)
  • Sri Lanka – Dialog Axiata (As of April 2013)
  • India – Airtel (As of June 2013)
  • Thailand – AIS (As of June 2013

When you use these Google products through Free Zone on your mobile phone, you won’t be charged for data. You can use Free Zone even if you haven’t subscribed to a data plan with your operator.

You can access free zone in mobile by going to  – only in the default web browser – no 3rd party browsers are supported :(

NOTE: You must have a Google Account & use only default web browsers…


You don’t need a data plan to use Free Zone as it is free of charge. As long as your phone is able to access the internet, you can use Free Zone. Only enable the Packet Data on your mobile with Airtel
