Hibernation, a cool option that allows you to set your PC turned of but retain what you left when you boots. But, this option is not seen in Windows 8/8.1 Power menu. Well, it’s actually deactivated and can be activated by some simple steps.
In this article, I’ll guide you through the steps needed to activate the Hibernate option Windows 8. When you’re done, you’ll get the Hibernate option in the power menu like this:
Now, onto the steps:
- Go to the Control Panel
- Open the Power Options from the Control Panel
- From the left panel, click the option ‘Choose what the power buttons do‘
- Now, you’ll see a new window, and click the option ‘Change settings that are currently unavailable‘
- You can see a checkbox named Hibernate in the bottom of the page, Enable it
