[How to] Get back old New Tab page in Google Chrome latest version in Windows!

Recently, Google has released a newer version of Google Chrome, which comes with a lot of new features and fixes. Among these, they introduced a new style for New Tab page which comes with a Google Search and Frequently viewed sites.


But, each time we launch the Google Chrome, it loads the new tab page from the internet which makes some connections slower. Many of my friends and visitors complained about this New Tab page and requested me to how to get back the old New Tab page.

You can get back the old New Tab page by disabling a feature in Chrome Flags:

  • In the address bar type chrome://flags and press enter
  • Now search for the following “Enable Instant Extended API
  • Now, select Disabled option from the list


  • That’s all, now click Relaunch Chrome button from the bottom and in the next launch, you will have the old New Tab page!
