UPDATE: Windows 8.1 Enterprise is available from 18/09/2013…
Recently, Microsoft has released the RTM (Release to Manufacturing) version of Windows 8.1 to it’s partners. But, it was not available to the MSDN/TechNet Subscribers. That was a disappointing decision from Microsoft.
Windows 8.1 comes as an update to it’s predecessor and bears a lot of new features and bug fixes. Below is a quick look of the Windows 8.1 RTM features. A notable feature is that the Start Button has come back!
Now, Microsoft has made the RTM version available for both MSDN and TechNet subscribers! This is a surprise news for all subscribers that microsoft didn’t mentioned about such release yet. They just made available it in the accounts, because of the critiques raised from the MSDN and TechNet subscribers…
The available editions for the subscribers are:
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 8.1 Pro
- Windows 8.1 Enterprise
- Windows 8.1 N
- Windows 8.1 Pro N
- Windows 8.1 Enterprise N
- Windows 8.1 (multiple editions)
The multiple edition iso file contains both Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 8.1 editions.
Both x64 and x86 architectures are available for the above mentioned editions.
But, Windows 8.1 Enterprise RTM will only available later this month. (Windows 8.1 Enterprise is now available!)
So what? if you’re an MSDN or TechNet subscriber, then download it from your account or from the following link:
